The power transformer is commonly used in all those applications where it is necessary to connect alternating current networks with high voltage levels for the purpose of energy transmission or distribution.

Construction types

GSU transformers:
used to increase the voltage level supplied by the generator to that of the energy transmission network. -
Step-down transformers:
used to connect transmission networks to distribution networks that have lower voltage levels. -
Transformers for network interconnection:
used to connect energy transmission networks with different voltage levels.
